Case study
Bright Galley Refresh
Oceanside Kitchen Studio reworked this tight galley for flow and light in five weeks on site, without moving a structural wall. New shaker cabinetry, quartz counters and a patterned tile backsplash carry a 1970s Vancouver Island layout forward by decades.

What changed
Two people could not pass each other in the old galley, and a single ceiling fitting left the counter in shadow. Nothing structural needed to move: we took the sink-wall uppers down to 300 mm, slimmed the pantry cabinet, and pulled the appliance run tight so the walkway held a clear 1,050 mm end to end. We replaced the single fixture with under-cabinet lighting and three pendants. Five weeks on site, and the aisle came out roughly 150 mm wider than it started.
