Kitchen Renovation Service Areas Across Oceanside
Oceanside Kitchen Studio works across Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, French Creek, Coombs and Errington. Wherever you are in that stretch of Vancouver Island, we handle the design, the cabinetry and the installation in-house on a fixed written quote.
We keep a dedicated page for Qualicum Beach, Nanoose Bay, French Creek, and Coombs & Errington, and Parksville is covered on the home page.
Parksville
Parksville is our home base, so we see the widest mix of work here: beach-town family homes updating a tired kitchen, right through to full custom builds. Whichever yours is, you get in-house design and a fixed written quote.

Most of what we build in Qualicum Beach is either an aging-in-place layout or a careful refresh of a character home, because the town is older and more established than its neighbours. If you plan to stay put, we design for that from the first sketch.

We work across the larger lots and waterfront properties of Nanoose Bay, including Fairwinds, Beachcomber and Red Gap. Out here your new kitchen is often one part of a bigger custom renovation, and we plan it that way from the start.

We spend most of our time in French Creek working on rural-residential lots and older homes between Parksville and Qualicum Beach. If your kitchen is still walled off from the living space, opening it up is usually the change you feel most.

We head west to Coombs, Errington, Hilliers and Whiskey Creek for farmhouse and acreage kitchens, where the work usually runs deeper than cosmetics. Almost every property out here is on a well and a septic field, so we check what your system can carry before the design is fixed.

A little, though not in the way people expect. The cabinetry, the counters and the labour to install them cost the same wherever the house is. What moves is everything around them. A long private driveway can mean a delivery truck cannot reach the door, so material gets transferred and that costs time. A property on a well and a septic field means any plumbing change gets checked against what the system can carry, sometimes with a licensed plumber involved before the design is fixed. A house close to open water gets the hardware and finishes we spec for salt air, and that adds a small premium. Rural properties also tend to have older service panels, so a kitchen needing four dedicated circuits sometimes needs panel work first. None of these are big on their own, but together they are why we would rather see the property before putting a number on the job.
How far will we travel?
Our crews work within about a forty-minute drive of the studio, which covers everything listed on this page. We keep it that tight on purpose. A kitchen renovation means the same people arriving every morning for several weeks, plus the trades, the deliveries and the inspector. Staying inside a radius we can properly service is how we make sure that when we say we'll be there at eight, we're there at eight. If you're just outside the area, ask anyway — the answer is often yes.
Do you work on rentals and second homes?
Yes, and they run slightly differently. With an owner-occupied kitchen the priority is keeping the household functioning, so we phase the work around meals and mornings. With a vacant property we can compress the schedule, run trades in parallel and finish sooner, because there is nobody to disturb. Where a property is managed remotely we photograph progress at each stage and send it, and we get written approval on anything that changes scope rather than assuming a decision. Access arrangements get settled in writing before we start, because a locked door on delivery day costs a full day.
