Case study
White Shaker Detail
Oceanside Kitchen Studio built this cabinet run, and this is a close look at the decisions behind it: corrosion-resistant matte-black pulls, clean shaker profiles and warm oak underfoot.

What changed
This run replaced 1980s melamine boxes in a farmhouse where nothing was plumb. Rather than force a factory-square run into a crooked opening, we scribed the end panels and packed the back rail so the door gaps read straight across all nine doors. Pulls are solid stainless with a matte-black coating, chosen because plated hardware pits within a few years this close to the water. The oak floor was laid after the cabinets so the boards die neatly into the toe-kick instead of stopping at a filler strip.
